through the Spey Valley and the heart of the malt whisky country, towards the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains.
This is a conservation area and a haven for wildlife.

of the Scottish Whisky distilleries: Aberlour, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, and Macallan to name but a few.

This 8 day itinerary 65 mile walk on the Speyside Way starts in the fishing port of Buckie on the Moray Firth. FromTugnet you walk in the Spey Valley via Fochabers, Craigellachie, Ballindalloch, Grantown on Spey to Aviemore. You could visit Speyside Cooperage Visitors Centre and Macallan, Aberlour, Knockando, Tamdhu, Cragganmore Distilleries.
